Students will learn a new topic within biology each week. This topic will correspond to the typical pacing of a regular full time biology class.
I am a high school biology teacher. I am entering my fourth year teaching the subject. I am familiar with common core standards for biology, and have prepared many students to pass our state biology exam. I am very familiar with the pacing and layout of the course, and will offer relevant content each week for students during the fall marking period.
Students will engage with the teacher using a webside called Nearpod. On this site, I will be asking check your understanding questions, and providing students with online activities to complete. This will be used by me in order to assess understanding of the topics.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need access to this website during the zoom class: https://nearpod.com/student/
