My name is Denise Champagne and I am the the founder of Future Vet & Animal Science Academy. I am a certified veterinary technician with 30+ years in practice. I have a MEd from Colorado State University and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I have been teaching at local colleges in veterinary assistant and equine studies programs for 13 + years. I have been teaching veterinary and equine science courses on Outschool since 2017. I am passionate about providing all of my learners, with the same passion for animals, an inclusive environment for them to learn, grow and reach their goals! In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parasites may be gross and make dogs sick. They do not usually cause death, but an animal may become ill. Class discussion will contain talk of pets becoming sick, so if your learner may become upset by this, I would recommend not enrolling. A carefully chosen YouTube video link may be embedded in the classroom after the final class for additional learning on the types of parasites that the learners shared about in class. Research on the parasite chosen will be done at home under parental supervision. I am not providing specific resources.
