In this one-time class, we will delve into the defining features that encompass life. This session aims to explore the essential characteristics that distinguish living organisms from non-living entities. Join us as we investigate the fundamental aspects of life, examining its properties, behaviors, and unique attributes in a single comprehensive lesson. Students will be able to identify and describe the eight characteristics of life. Students will be able to differentiate between living, non-living, and dead entities. Students will be able to apply their knowledge to real-life scenarios using the characteristics of life.

Observations of students' participation during discussions and activities will be monitored for misconceptions that need immediate correction. Students' understanding will additionally be assessed with interactive games and quizzes given throughout the lesson.
