Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to identify and describe the eight characteristics of life.
Students will be able to differentiate between living, non-living, and dead entities.
Students will be able to apply their knowledge to real-life scenarios using the characteristics of life.

Proficient in Edgenuity, Skyward, Eduphoria, Google Classroom, G Suite and Canvas LMS
Graded all assignments, quizzes, and tests
Tutored students needing additional assistance in person and via zoom conferencing
Taught face to face and virtually simultaneously during Covid-19 pandemic
Extension opportunities will be provided for students to work through on there own. With this being a one time class, no homework will be assigned.

A one page handout will be provided for students to fill in and follow along as we proceed through the lesson.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Observations of students' participation during discussions and activities will be monitored for misconceptions that need immediate correction.
Students' understanding will additionally be assessed with interactive games and quizzes given throughout the lesson.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
