Class Experience

This course will provide an overview of some types of interesting cases that an emergency veterinarian may encounter. The course material is delivered by pre-recorded video lessons, along with a worksheet that helps to reinforce the lesson material such as terminology and space for learners to take notes as they learn about these veterinary medical emergencies. Additional carefully selected and safely embedded YouTube videos may also be included. Learners will have optional projects each week to reinforce the learning.

The topics covered will be from the teacher's experience and may include actual information about cases from the ER. Please see the syllabus for details.

This course will help learners understand how a veterinarian triages their patients and how they decide what needs to be done to help their patients as quickly as possible. Learners will learn some facts about certain types of medical conditions that are commonly seen on emergency.

THIS COURSE DOES NOT PREPARE LEARNERS TO DIAGNOSE OR TREAT ANY ANIMALS. THE INSTRUCTOR WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS SPECIFIC TO YOUR PETS. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL VETERINARIAN FOR ADVICE ON YOUR OWN ANIMALS.
