Nature is interesting, amazing, and beautiful... but there can be a dark side as well! From a worm that causes ants to betray their colony, to a single-celled parasite that makes rats want to be friends with cats, and a nematode that lives in the scooped-out body of a cricket, this class will teach learners about the bizarre, creepy, and strangely amazing actions of some unique organisms. I have been an educator and scientist for more than 15 years. I have specialized in host-parasite behavior manipulation and the evolutionary histories of these types of creatures, and have taught lectures on this exact topic to learners of all ages.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
