Description

Class Experience

I have been a certified veterinarytechnician for more than 30 years and have taught at 2 local community colleges in a veterinary Assistant Program and a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach at a local private college in their Equine Studies program.
I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a paint pony, 5 Nigerian dwarf goats, 11 chickens and 3 cats! I am passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with others!
Optional videos will be shared after class on the topic of that day. They are not required, only available for those wanting more information.
A Handout will be provided for class 3. Students should bring a stuffed cat or dog, and a small bath towel to class 2.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be given videos that contain surgery (day 4) as additional learning opportunities after class. No one is required to watch videos that they may think could be disturbing to them.
