Whether the learner has completed biology already and needs some review or is is enrolled in biology next fall, this camp is designed to build skills, confidence, and mastery. I help each learner gain some tips, tricks, and easy to remember methods! The class will be full of discussion and dynamic teaching. Learners are encouraged to bring questions and points of confusion. We will work as a class to bring understanding to each concept. Two hands-on activities/labs are planned. Here is a brief schedule of each day. Day 1: Cells Day 2: Viruses & Bacteria (Hands On Activity) Day 3: Chemistry of Life (Hands on Activity) Day 4: Plants Day 5: Animals and Human Function & Structure. Learners have the option to use the material list if they wish to complete the experiments with me. Learners will be able to interact and collaborate ideas with classmates during the class. Each will be encouraged to fully participate in each day's experiment.

A supply list will be sent to all learners and families one week prior to class start date.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hands on activities will include the use of common household items such as hand soap, cooking oils, jello, and butter. Alternatives can be provided is available upon request.

I have the privilege to teach many subject areas, but biology & chemistry are my favorite as they applies to all other areas of science. My opinion is that if a student understands the these major concepts, other sciences become more clear.
