Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
✨This class is an ongoing 12 week semester-long class in Science covering these specific areas: Biology and Geology. Students may join at any time and drop-in or stay for the entire 12 weeks.

📍Classes are very interactive with great discussions and sharing! Each week, students will engage in interactive, fun, and fascinating lessons while sharing their ideas on our topic that week. I provide additional materials for select classes to choose from at home, links to videos, games, printable, and occasional experiments.

💡Join at anytime as classes will not build upon each other as each topic is independent!

🔹️Students will have ample time to discuss and share their ideas through guided questions. Since students learn differently, I will use a variety of images, simulations, virtual field trips, demonstrations, and videos.

Learning Goals
My goal for your child in our class is to spark their interest in many areas of Science! I will guide them in their curiosity to explore, uncover, and dig deeper into topics as questions arise in our classroom. All topics discussed will be appropriate for this age group of students and my expertise will guide them with additional materials provided after select classes.

As a Registered Nurse, Educator, and "Rockhound" I have always had a passion for Biology, Anatomy, and Geology. I worked in the consulting field providing direction didactic education for future nurses, ancillary personnel, healthcare facilities, and cooperative homeschool settings.
Another passion of mine is Geology! I love discovering new geological specimens with my students. While this geology passion of mine grew my oldest son developed a love for the field as well. We worked alongside the curators at our local museum to learn from the masters in this area. My collection of specimens is from around the world. I have hundreds of examples to share as we explore the various rocks, geological structures, and Earth's interior. I love to see students engage and converse about science as they explore in my classroom.
