I have been a certified veterinary technician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I have been teaching at local colleges in veterinary Assistant Programs and an equine studies program. I have also enjoyed teaching a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school summer programs in person and online. I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a Paint horse, 4 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 2 cats! I am passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with all learners from diverse backgrounds from all around the world! If your learner has a dream to be a veterinary professional, then I am excited to help them on this first step!
Along with a recorded lesson, weekly suggested practice, worksheets, projects, additional YouTube video links and discussions may be posted. Learners are encouraged to share photos of finished projects and participate in online classroom discussions. There is no REQUIRED work, as no grades are given in this course.
