Class Experience
This course is a continuation of the Advanced Vet Science courses. **** Learners must have taken Advanced Vet Science 1 prior to enrolling in this one. This is important since we will be continuing terminology from Adv Vet 1 and knowledge of anatomy from Adv Vet 1 will be important in understanding the radiology sections. Topics covered by week are: 1. Veterinary Terminology- commonly used words and abbreviations will be reviewed to be studied over the week to prepare for the upcoming...
I have been a certified veterinarytechnician for more than 30 years in a mixed animal practice that also sees exotics and injured wildlife. I have taught for 10 years at a local community colleges in nationally accredited Veterinary Assistant Programs and have lead a variety of Veterinary Science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. I also teach in an equine studies program at a local private university. Along with all that I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a Paint horse, 5 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 3 cats! I am passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with all learners from all backgrounds!
Addition worksheets and video links will be provided but they are not required.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
