Students will learn to construct and analyze food chains and food webs/pyramids. Students will know what energy pyramids are and how these models are used to quantify the flow of energy through trophic levels in ecosystems.

Class Experience

We will discuss how food chains and food webs represent the flow of energy and matter. We will identify trophic levels and efficiency of energy transfer.  We will construct food webs and food chains,  as well as label the transfer of energy, the individuals and trophic levels. You will create food webs and chains,  identify heterotrophs, autotrophs.
