Biology 101-Genetic Twist
Class experience
"Biology 101-Genetic Twist" is a 6 day introductory biology course which will have classes lasting 60mins; with 40 mins devoted to teaching the concepts and 20 mins devoted to topic related quizzes. The quiz will then be used to inform the assessment for the next class. And, the outline for those weeks will be as follows: Day 1-Cell Theory, Cell Structure and Cell Function, Day 2-Central Dogma, Nucleic Acids & signal transduction, Day 3-DNA replication, Day 4-Protein Synthesis (Transcription...
At the end of the course learners will be able to know and understand the cell theory, compare & contrast cell and animal structures, note the specific organelle function, understand the central dogma of molecular biology, understand DNA vs RNA structure, subtypes and functionalities and understand both replication and protein synthesis process in detail. Learners will also be able to appreciate natural selection, and specifically how mutation factors into not only cellular behavior but also how it can affect human health in basic terms.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
