Each week in this ongoing class, we will discuss concepts related to different diagrams in Science. You are welcome to join any week based on your need. This Course will help students who need better understanding of concepts which are hard to comprehend. I will be guiding students to color and label diagrams. The purpose of this Class is to develop skills in scientific drawings. Scientific drawing is a tool that will enhance conceptual learning in students. Every class will focus on one diagram and learning important concepts related to it. As a Veteran Science Teacher, I believe that, when students start drawing and practicing Science Illustrations they develop their inquiry skills because it takes a lot into creating a diagram. They observe, they ,plan, they learn to analyze ,evaluate and make judgement about color, size and shape of their diagram. A PDF will be provided for the Diagram .Students can print out the layout of their diagram and follow along with me as I draw, explain color and label. I will use the Interactive Whiteboard to draw. Students may also use the Paint Software to draw and create diagrams. Week 1 :Diagram - Prokaryotic Cell - Students will learn to label important parts in a prokaryotic cell. Week 2: Diagram - Eukaryotic Cell - Students will learn to label the important organelle 8n plant and animal cell.
