In this class students will join together to play Bingo. We will be concentrating on the following families: -ab, -ag, -ed, -it, -op, -ub and a few more. This will be a virtual bingo card and students will receive the link to their card before class, no printing required, the words can be marked directly on the Bingo card on the computer. Teacher will spin the wheel to identify each word to be covered on the bingo card. Students will have time to find the word, then as a class we will sound out the letters of each word family. Students understanding can be in the beginning stages of word families or a review to keep this skill shark and anywhere in between. Bingo is fun for all! I look forward to our Bingo game.

A link to your students virtual Bingo card will be send in a message through Outschool before class begins, so all student have a different card. 2 options to play Bingo. - Virtual card on the computer: Please make sure that your link works before class begins. Just click the link to assess your Bingo card. The student can click a word on the Bingo card and an "X" will be placed over the word. - Printed Card: If your child is more comfortable using a printed card, then this is also an option. Once you click on the link to the Bingo card there is a "Print" option above the Bingo card.

Hello,
My name is Teacher Sarah and I have been teaching online in China for over three years. I look forward to meeting new learners in America. I believe that all children can form a love for reading at a young age when given the correct tools. My goal is to provide you with the necessary tools to be a successful readers. Beginning with individual letter sounds and cvc words, until the student can blend the sounds to begin reading for younger students.
