US Grade 2
In this one session class, student's will practice the second first grade dolch sight words. We will practice the spelling of the Dolch words at the beginning of class. After we have reviewed all the words, using flash cards, we will play Dolch Bingo. Each student will receive their own personal BINGO sheet prior to class beginning. They will need to have this printed before class starts. Due to playing this game multiple times, students will need some type of way to mark the words that were said. I would highly recommend markers such as: kidney beans, uncooked macaroni, or fruit loops (or cheerios). Words will be chosen randomly. Students will have to find the word on their board. If they have the word then they should use one of their “markers” to mark their board. This class is a fun, interactive, lesson that will help students with their pronunciation, spelling, and understanding of the different Dolch words. I have 17 years of teaching experience. I have tutored students for 4 of those years. I have experience teaching students between the ages of 3 to 21. I have my Elementary and Early Childhood Bachelors of Science Degree and I am certified to teach in the state of Pennsylvania. During class we will: 1. Introduce ourselves. 2. Review each Dolch word using flash cards. 3. Play Dolch BINGO 4. Practice putting the words in sentences. 5. If time permits play BINGO to finish out our class.
