Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will go through:
1. Solving Linear Equations
2. Linear Inequalities
3. Systems of Linear Equations
4. Exponential Equations and Functions
5. Polynomial Equations and Factoring
6. Graphing and Solving Quadratic Functions
I will provide the web link for the student edition of the Big Ideas Algebra 1 book. I also provide all the worksheets/masters, quizzes and exams on the Classroom page.
This book is very Algebra/Geometry based, to help prepare students to move into Geometry.
Progress will be evaluated with Quizzes and Chapter Exams, to insure mastery of the concepts. 
I grade students and supply a mid-term and Final grade. I also provide a Grade Report Letter upon successful completion, and my signature and credentials for those that request it.
I attach a pre-course assessment to each new Learner upon enrollment. (Not needed if you are a previous student.)

This class is designed for the serious math student. Being an engineer, I have spent years working in aeronautics, on flight-critical equipment. Algebra I is 'flight-critical' and each student deserves to be taught with precision to prepare them for future math demands.
 1 file available upon enrollment
I will supply all the worksheets and masters, concepts tests, and a final evaluation. I will also supply a graph paper master. Students will need pencils, printer, a way to return quizzes and tests, plenty of paper and lots of questions. Please obtain a notebook for class lesson material. I will be attaching lesson material from the book, and worksheets for practice. Students do not need to buy a book. I will provide a link for the student edition of the book. Thank you.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
