Week of May 8- A Little Scribble Spot Learners will listen to "A Little Scribble Spot" about a spot who has so many feelings at once! We can then make our own...
This class is taught in English.
Students will listen to a read aloud about emotion regulation and social emotional learning, then complete an activity.

I will provide handouts for grown ups to use outside of class if they want. These will be optional.
ACTIVITIES/ SUPPLIES ARE OPTIONAL - Teacher-supplied handouts are needed Handouts will be provided. I will complete an activity after each book. Completing the activity along with me is OPTIONAL, but if you want your leaner to you will need the following for those activities: Week of May 8: You will need one of the following in multiple colors: Wikki Sticks, yarn, pipe cleaners, model magic. I'll be using pipe cleaners. Week of May 15: Empty water bottle, water, vegetable oil, food coloring, little items (beads, buttons, glitter, trinkets, etc.) Week of May 22: Strips of construction paper (yellow would be best), tape/ glue Week of May 29: Dry sponge, cup/bowl of water Week of June 5: A balloon (red would be best) Week of June 12: A bag with some useful things, and some heavy things (I will have a backpack with pencils, a notebook, crayons, and heavy rocks) Week of June 19: A cut out heart or heart drawn on a piece of paper, little pieces of paper to glue onto that heart, or circle stickers instead of little papers Week of June 26: Bracelet template provided by me, coloring supplies, ' I am in control of my emotions' handout
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We are reading a book about feelings. I will only read the book and do a follow up activity. Because I am a licensed teacher, and not a therapist, that is the extent of what I will cover. I will also complete an activity every class , and if your learner follows along you may want to supervise or help them (pouring, gluing, blowing up a balloon, etc.).
