Welcome! My background in teaching goes back ten years when I began to home-school my own children. I am currently entering my last year of a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I love hands-on learning and embrace the Waldorf/ Charlotte-Mason style. My past teaching experience in the classroom includes 5th & 9th grade English and 5th grade art and history. Currently, I teach Life Science to 3rd-4th grade students at a home-school co-op. I also teach English as a second language online to students in China! I love learning about other cultures, photographing nature, hiking , nature walks, exploring , running, and everything elementary! It has been my passion to see the light of learning torched to life in children. My desire is to reach beyond the screen and kindle the spark of learning into roaring and radiant flames.
No homework will be assigned but plenty of videos and printable sheets will be available for students so they can continue learning about cats after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed through group discussion.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
