In this 9 week course, students will learn basic conversational Spanish in an asynchronous classroom setting. We will discuss topics such as introductions, present tense verbs, numbers, colors, days, months, and many more!

Students will receive feedback on their written assignments and Flipgrid responses. They will also have vocabulary and concept quizzes which will give them immediate feedback.Grading
Students will receive grades by request. In order to receive grades, students must send completed assignments to me. I will have a spreadsheet for grades where students and parents can track their progress.Class Experience
Beginner Level

This is a self-paced class, so there are no live meetings. Every week, students will have instructional videos to watch about the topics for the week. We will also interact with the language on Flipgrid and the class discussion board. Students will also have a written assignment each week and a Kahoot practice to solidify their skills. Grades are provided by request. Students will learn the basics of the Spanish language. We will discuss how to have an introductory conversation, numbers, and colors. We will learn basic grammar concepts which are the building blocks of further knowledge of the language.

Lesson 3:
Adjectives
Students will learn how to match adjectives to the noun it is describing. Students will also learn correct adjective placement. 53 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Numbers 1-100
Students will learn the number in Spanish up to 100. 13 mins of video lessons

My name is Hilaire, and I am a High School Chemistry teacher. Well, by title only. I have been teaching for 10 years and have taught a variety of subjects: Spanish, Biology, ESL, Chemistry, Physical Science, and Math. I also have tutored a variety of subjects for over 10 years. I am also National Board Certified.
In my classes, my philosophy is to get students interested in the topic and make it fun! Students are much more invested when they enjoy the class.
