Class Description

In these personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions, each lesson is fully customized to meet your learner exactly where they are. Whether they are advancing rapidly and need additional challenges or are struggling and need focused guidance, I’m here to support them every step of the way. We’ll work together on their specific needs, whether it’s mastering foundational skills or tackling more advanced concepts.

Class Experience

The structure of each session is adaptable and based on the student’s needs. I use a document camera to clearly display problem-solving strategies and work through examples in real-time. It’s crucial that the student has a setup where I can observe their work—math tutoring often involves catching that one small mistake that can change everything!

My teaching style is supportive, interactive, and encouraging. I believe learning should be engaging and fun, so I incorporate humor, positive reinforcement, and interactive problem-solving to keep students motivated. Our sessions will include a mix of guided practice, problem-solving discussions, and occasional math-related games or challenges to make learning enjoyable.

Topics Covered

I specialize in tutoring the following math topics:

Basic Arithmetic and Number Sense: Building confidence with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Fractions and Decimals: Understanding operations with fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals.
Pre-Algebra: Introducing algebraic concepts such as variables, equations, and basic graphing.
Word Problems and Critical Thinking: Developing strategies to break down complex word problems and build problem-solving skills.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have other questions.
