Class Experience
The five paragraph essay is a foundational writing structure that prepares for longer and more complex essays; however, the purpose of this course will be to expand beyond the basic structure learned in the MASTERING THE FIVE PARAGRAPH ESSAY courses. This course includes formal and informal writing along with mini grammar and vocabulary lessons. All submitted work will receive feedback and revisions are required. Students will working on developing their writing skills with a variety of writing projects. Revisions will be required.
Weekly assignments will be given. Some work may not require revision. Students might spend 2-4 hours/week on writing and revising their work.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Feedback will be provided on content, spelling, and grammar in the form or written responses and rubrics. If accommodations are needed (video responses) please let the instructor know.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
