US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner - Advanced Level
This is a weekly circle-time that is centered around good quality children's books and educational activities that reinforce the content of the books as well as aid in overall early child development. We will discuss the parts of a book and how to properly care for books as well as the following educational concepts: days of the week, months of the year, number sense, basic preschool math concepts, pre-literacy skills, phonological and phonemic awareness, the alphabet and letter sounds, shapes, social-emotional concepts, science, social studies, art concepts, and basic singing skills. This class will be both a fun and engaging yet also highly educational enrichment for young learners. Your learner will learn and have fun while doing it!

Parental Guidance
Younger learners may need an adult nearby to help with scissors and glue during the craft portion.
Supply List
Learners will want to have basic craft supplies such as construction paper, crayons, scissors, and glue handy. Additional supplies will be listed in the classroom a week in advance.

We will read a different children's book each week. Books include stories written by Eric Carle, Bill Martin Jr, Margaret Wise Brown, Laura Numeroff, Mo Williams, Robert McCloskey, and many more. Additional resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, free online resources, and my own teacher-created resources may also be used.
