Description
Class Experience
Students will be introduced to the geometry vocabulary vertical, horizontal, oblique, perpendicular, parallel, quadrilateral, attribute, perimeter, area. Students will learn to apply the above terms and categorize quadrilaterals using geometrical vocabulary. Students will be able to determine the perimeter of a given shape. Students will be able to calculate the area of a parallelogram.
Homework will be assigned throughout the course. Any homework is optional but encouraged as it is designed to help practice and reinforce the skills and concepts taught throughout the course. Homework may include worksheets, projects, and games.
paper/pencil or whiteboard/marker ruler pattern blocks (different quadrilaterals)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
