Congratulations! Over the past months, you have learned to read in Arabic and you have built a foundation in basic Arabic grammar and vocabulary. It is time to use what you have learned to help you build a rich and varied Arabic vocabulary. This class is an opportunity to expand your Arabic skills through reading and talking about a variety of topics. This class is taught in Arabic.
This class will reinforce the grammar and basic vocabulary that students have already acquired. Moving beyond this, learners will expand their vocabulary and cultural knowledge of the Arab world. Students will read and discuss Arabic texts related to each weekly topic.
After the first lesson of each week, learners will have a list of useful vocabulary. Homework for the second lesson of the week will include reviewing this vocabulary to help in reading and discussion of the text.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
There will be songs and segments from child-appropriate videos used in class, some of them will be from YouTube.
