This book is not required, but has all of the speeches and some background to them, which might be helpful: "I Have A Dream: Writings and Speeches that Changed the World" Edited by James M. Washington. It's about $15 on Amazon new and as low as $2 used. It can likely be found in most public libraries as well. https://www.amazon.com/Have-Dream-Writings-Speeches-Anniversary/dp/0062505521/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513359596&sr=8-1&keywords=i+have+a+dream+writings+and+speeches
****Please keep in mind that Dr. King was a religious leader of the Christian faith so his speeches and writings often have a religious tone and reference Biblical stories. We will not use these to promote his religion, but to help us understand him and his perspectives.
