Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Students will learn about the life cycle and migration of monarch butterflies and understand the challenges they face as they migrate across North America. They will also learn how to support monarchs and other pollinators. This class will include introductions on the information and activity, a lesson, and support time for Q&A about monarchs and other butterflies

We approach education with a learner-driven lens and center problem-based learning in our programs. We strive to raise awareness about the importance of invertebrates, build compassion and empathy for the natural world, and empower learners to take action and make a difference for their planet

Learners are encouraged to ask questions via audio or chat. There will be opportunities both before and after the program for learners to interact with each other and teacher.

Awareness of butterflies is helpful prior knowledge but not required.
