Hello! My name is Kristi Robertson, but learners call me Mrs. Kristi. Thank you for your interest in "Best Thing - Worst Thing" Summer Journaling. Class goals are: 1. Create a habit of learning 2. Interact with other classmates in order to listen and learn from others 3. Make decisions about how they can individually spread positivity and kindness
Though my university degrees are in Computer Science, Math, Environmental Science, and Business Management, I have grown up with the daily habit of my family sitting around our dinner table taking turns telling each other the best thing that happened that day and the worst thing that happened that day. As a family we all had a chance to reflect on each others' experiences and offer praise or support. At 45 years old, and with my own daughter at 14 years old, we still have this tradition with my parents at meals! I believe it is important for learners to be able to openly share both good and bad in their lives and be able to openly discuss actions we can each take to make our world better.
Learners are encouraged to write in their journals every day.
Spiral notebook Pen or pencil
No learner assessment will be provided as this is an open-discussion and journaling class.
