In this ongoing weekly session, teen learners will train their dogs a new command, cue or trick and continue in working on more intermediate and advanced skills. Teens will be able to share their experiences in training their dogs.

In this fun weekly ongoing class, we will be working with learners to teach them how to train their own dogs in intermediate and advanced cues and commands. We will learn about using less treat rewards and fading cues and prompts. This teacher uses positive techniques and commands. This class is ongoing, and students can join anytime. Each meeting, we will be learning to teach basic and intermediate commands for dogs or older puppies such as sit, stay, recall, place, loose leash walking,...
Students will improve their skill in intermediate and advanced methods in training their own dogs to listen and obey cues and commands. They will improve in problem solving various behavior issues in their dogs.
Teacher is a certified dog trainer and previous elementary school teacher.
Homework Offered
Dogs do not get trained on their own. Learners need to practice training their dogs 2 or 3 times a day for 10 to 15 minutes at a time.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Learners need to have their dogs on a leash and small raison size pieces of treats for training. They will be alerted to any additional products or objects needed for the class through posts in the classroom.
Dog are unpredictable and are not always ready to learn. They also need space for training.
