In this class we will identify friendly behavior and discuss how to be a good friend. This class is designed for students with disabilities, such as Autism or Down syndrome.

Class Experience

We will divide a poster board into 2 parts, friendly and unfriendly. We will discuss some comments that are friendly and unfriendly sorting them on the board as we discuss them. We will brainstorm for addition comments in a group discussion and identify those comments as friendly or unfriendly. We will discuss how the comments make us feel. We will finish the class by focusing on good friend behavior and things we can do the help others feel good.

Students will improve the receptive and expressive language skills through group conversation. Students will identify good friend behavior.
