Class experience
Beginning/Intermediate Spanish ~ Las Comidas, La Casa, y Lugares Ages 7-12. This Spanish Class is geared for a beginner/ intermediate level. The student should have knowledge of basic vocabulary such as numbers 1-20, the Spanish alphabet and the vowels, colors, and greetings. We will review these and also learn to read, write, and converse using sentences. Spanish was my first language and I have been working with bilingual children (and their parents) for over 15 years. I wrote a bilingual play (for children) that was set in Mexico and filled with music and dance. I have also tutored and taught conversational Spanish. Homework Offered
Students will be assigned homework from the workbook #4. Other possible homework assignments: Watch a read-aloud from my youtube channel or play an online Spanish game!1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

This class will use Spanish Workbook #4 and Mexican Hot Cocoa. I may ask you to print out some PDF's. Total cost for the workbook and materials: $17. If this is an issue, please reach out to me and I will happily make accommodations.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
When I teach Spanish, I have a Mexican accent. It is very different than the accent from Spain. I do not teach that but do have conversations with my students about the different accents and how vocabulary changes accordingly from country to country.
I live on a homestead in Vermont. If the power ever goes out (it's very rare as we have a back up generator), please understand. I will accommodate your schedule and hold a make up class. This is highly unlikely but need to share this information.
