In this Ongoing class, students will learn a new Classical or popular song every meeting. In doing so, they will refine their technique and learn how music theory works.

They should know how to:
1-Play with the bow well
2-Play all the notes on the D and A string
3-Know how to read the basic rhythms and notes
We will be learning a new song a week using a variety of method books and popular songs. This class is designed to motivate students to play the violin often for enjoyment, and to become the best they can be. Also, it is a class based on group interaction and community learning where students will engage in group activities such as games and duet playing.
The weekly plan will stay as shown below, but I will take students' suggestions for specific songs of their choice and add them as well:
WEEK 1: "Best Day of my Life"
WEEK 2: Jingle Bells
WEEK 3: Good King Wenceslas
WEEK 4: “Thinking Out-loud” by Ed Sherman
WEEK 5: Christine Song
WEEK 6: Star Wars ThemeLearning Goals
The songs that students will learn every week will reinforce the basic techniques they already know, and will help them advance to the next level.
