Class experience
In this 8 week course, students will learn important foundational techniques and skills to become a violin virtuoso! Students will learn how to care for their violin, solid right and left hand techniques, how to read the treble clef and will perform the Twinkle theme and variations. There is no need for prior musical experience. If your child has experience playing the violin, this may not be the level for you. Students will develop an understanding of the proper violin and bow hold, finger placement, basic note reading and be able to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!
Homework Offered
Besides the 45 minute class each week, students should be able to dedicate 1-2 hours of practice time each week. Students see the most progress when they practice regularly.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Learners will need their own instrument - either owned or rented, rosin, a dry wash cloth, a shoulder rest (or sponge and rubber bands in place of a shoulder rest), the piascore tuner app, a few sheets of blank staff paper, and a pencil.
