Description
Class Experience
This course is for students wishing to learn about spreadsheets. It is for the student who has never done spreadsheets or those that have done a little. We will learn the basics and how it can help you with your hobby, school work, or job one day. We will work on this together as I present a spreadsheet and go through the basics and I will go through all the different ways things can be done, along with tips and tricks. Students will learn the following: - Basic formatting of a spreadsheet - How formulas work - How to organize information on a spreadsheet - Basic terminology of spreadsheets - How to make graphs using the data on the spreadsheet
I have worked with spreadsheets for the last 30 years and started with the original excel and others. I have taught spreadsheets to my 6th graders for many years.
Homework will be to make their own spreadsheet on a topic of their choosing.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
