Are you interested in starting your child in an immersive environment to learn Spanish? This class is the place! We will do a variety of activities almost completely in Spanish. We will have a brief introduction that will introduce some of the important vocabulary for the class (we may use English to give the students a way to build comprehension). Then, the teacher will only speak Spanish. The class will try to accommodate as many of the individual needs as possible. The class topics...
Students will begin to exercise their Spanish in a semi-immersive environment. Students will learn basic vocabulary on a specific topic and complete an activity with instructions given only in Spanish.
I have taught bilingual students at several grade levels for over 13 years. I live in a bilingual home and speak both English and Spanish on a daily basis.
There will not be specific homework, but students are encouraged to continue practicing what they have learned.
Please have paper and pencil available. We may use some other items that should be readily available....please check the classroom for necessary materials for a specific class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
