Class experience
In this class your learner will have the opportunity to explore their musical creativity and curiosity. GarageBand is a powerful, yet beginner friendly and intuitive Digital Audio Workstation used by both beginners and professionals alike. Utilizing this tool, learners will learn the basics of good songwriting such as Melody, Harmony, Lyric writing, musical styles, etc. They will also have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of music production, such as mixing, mastering, beats, and...
Students will learn the fundamentals of GarageBand, songwriting, and music production. Students will also learn how to edit, record, export audio files, and much more.
Homework Offered
Homework will be in the form of building on what we work on in class. Ideally students should put 1-3 hours each week into their projects outside of class time.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

iPads, iPhones, or Macs with GarageBand downloaded are REQUIRED for this course as GarageBand is specific to macOS and iOS. Students will need 2 separate devices, one with GarageBand and one for the Zoom call. Please download the app ahead of class time.
