Description

Class Experience

This class is a continuation of "Beginning Singing Lessons for Young Singers I," however, learners are not required to have taken Beginning Singers I for this class. New singers are welcome to jump in to this class! 

This class is designed for young singers aged 4-7, but is also appropriate for older singers who need help with intonation, rhythm, and sight-reading. 

What's the difference between Part I and Part II? 
Beginning Singing Lessons for Young Singers II will focus more on rhythm...

-Ear Training
-Rhythm
-Sight-reading/Singing
-Technique
-Performance

The joy of music starts at a very young age. As young singers learn about singing, rhythm, pitch, ear training, and creative movement, their appreciation for and music is enhanced and talent nurtured! Performing helps children of all ages gain confidence in many ares of life! 

Sarah LOVES working with young musicians. For 8 years, she was a resident teaching artist for the Lyric Opera of Chicago and taught young performers how to produce, write, and sing in their very own opera! 

Sarah has been teaching private and group voice lessons for 20 years and is a Royal Conservatory of Music Elementary Certified Voice Instructor.

-A downloadable pdf packet will be provided on the first day of class. 
-Mp3's of piano accompaniment for songs will be provided.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
