1 live meeting

We will begin class by talking about safety while sewing with a machine. I will give students the opportunity to ask questions about their own sewing machine because every machine is a little different. We will test different stitches and machine settings using a fabric swatch. Then we will move on to creating a pattern. This month we will be making a circle skirt. Making a pattern will also give us a chance to practice our math and basic geometry skills! Don't worry though, I will walk them through step by step and answer questions as they need help. Finally, we will sew our skirts! Students should be able to thread the needle before signing up for this class. This is a good first project class. I can help students troubleshoot any problems with their machine but it is not a class to learn how to set up the machine.
