This class will show you basic drum beats to play in hundreds of songs!
Class Experience
In this class, we will learn the first very basic beat on drum set that you can play on hundreds of songs right away! And then it can grow from there!!! We will start with the parts of the drum set, then learn to properly hit the bass drum. Next, we will learn proper stick technique for hitting the snare drum and Hi hat cymbals. We will learn to count out the notes and then put all of it together to play them together. By the end of class, we will learn how many songs you can play that beat...
Students will learn to count and co-ordinate a basic beat used in hundreds of songs.
Practice makes perfect! Try to play 15 minutes each day.
At least a pair of drum sticks and a practice pad. Workbook is Syncopation by Ted Reed available on Amazon
Informal assessment. I’ll know if you’re improving.
