This class is going to help your learner read and become more confident in their reading abilities. This class is for those who don’t know how to read or who need some extra guidance. We will begin each class with a welcome song and short introductions. This is a fun way to get to know each other! (5 minutes) Each week will be focused on a group of different word families. I have always loved working with kids. I am so happy to be able to teach with Outschool! I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and have worked in the school setting with all elementary-aged kids. I have also taught dance for several years to kids of all ages. I've danced my whole life and have experience in all styles of dance. In the past, I have worked at a homeschool, taught English online, and coached a high school cheer team and Special Olympics cheer team. I also was a college cheerleader at the university I attended in Arizona. I am a mom to a funny and cute one-year-old girl. I have a passion teaching and seeing children learn new skills!
If there is a worksheet that needs printed out I will email that out a week before class. Students should have paper and a pencil close by them during class.
