Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this interactive, multisensory phonics class, students will expound on their knowledge of letter/sound relationships to begin segmenting, blending, and decoding CVC words.
Class Outline:
✏️Each class will begin with phonemic awareness activities by reviewing letters and letter
sounds we will focus on through a multisensory approach of attaching a sound, picture,
      and motion to each letter.
✏️Next, we will then tap out the sounds we hear and then blending them together.
✏️Then we will use the word mat with elokin boxes provided to segment each word by
saying the sound and writing the letter that represents the sound.
✏️We will then once again, tap under each sound, blend together, and then read the
      words.
✏️If there are any sight words that the students will be introduced to in their reading
material, we will introduce the sight words by tapping out sounds students know, and
introducing parts of the word that do not following spelling patterns known as the
     heart part.
✏️Finally, we will end each class transferring all of the skills we have learned and practice
into reading a decodable sentence pyramid.
