Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
This is a twice-a-week class that will help students to learn and practice the various aspects of pre-algebra and beginning algebra. Learners will work with solving unknown numbers (e.g. solving for x), ratios and proportions, whole numbers, integers, fractions, percentages, and decimals. The four operations of math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) are also covered. Also included are number lines, single, double and triple digit numbers, the four operations with fractions, and conversions (e.g. fractions to decimals and/or percentages). In each lesson, there will be practice exercises, word problems, and related videos. The word problems can include various topics such as school, food, travel, and sports. Towards the end of the class, students will be given an opportunity to say what they learned.

In my spare time, I watch and analyze basketball, partake in social matters and advocacy, exercise, write books and articles, do landscape paintings, and work on interior and exterior housework.
