Then, come join me for this engaging 6-week group course where we will explore the fundamentals of piano playing in a fun and approachable format! Using the popular Piano Adventures curriculum, students will be introduced to basic piano technique, keyboard geography and rhythms, as well as exploring musical concepts such as pitch, dynamics and tempo.

W E E K L Y   C O N C E P T S :

  👉Week 1: Introduction to finger numbers, correct posture, and the keyboard 
  👉Week 2: Identify black key groups; high and low pitch
  👉Week 3: Quarter notes; steady beat
  👉Week 4: Half notes; dynamics: piano and forte
  👉Week 5: Whole notes; repeat signs
  👉Week 6: Review of concepts and repertoire

 🎹 I believe EVERYONE is musical - they just need the right tools to tap into their inner musician! My goal is for each student who works with me to come away feeling competent and confident in their piano playing. 
 🎹 Music isn't just about playing an instrument. Students will become well-rounded musicians who develop general musicianship, including listening, composing and improvisation skills.

Students will need a keyboard or piano with a bench or suitable chair. Please have the camera set up to show both the learner and the keys.
 
While this class is taught in a group format, each student will have the opportunity to ask questions and demonstrate their understanding of the information presented. My goal is for each student to come away from this class feeling confident in what they have learned, and excited to learn more about the piano.
