I have two bachelors degrees in music (BA in Music and BM in Music Therapy). As part of my music therapy program I spent a lot of time playing piano!
Homework is highly encouraged! Learners will receive pdf documents with information and songs each week of class to help guild their practice time. Even 5 minutes of practice each day will help foster improvement in their skills!
Learners should have access to a piano or keyboard with at least 3 octaves (24 white keys). Learners should be able to sit properly at their instrument with their arms forming just about a 90 degree angle at the elbow. It would be helpful if I could see learner's hands on the keyboard or piano.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
