In this 6 week course, meeting twice a week, learners will learn the basics of the Norwegian language and how the culture in Norway differs from American and Canadian culture.
Class experience
Students will learn the basics of the Norwegian language and culture. I have taught Norwegian both in an immersion camp setting, in-person tutoring and remote (video) tutoring. My B.A. is in Scandinavian languages & literature.
Homework Offered
Students will have between 45 minutes to 2 hours of homework between classes on the Ny i Norge website and by practicing words/prounciation and other concepts learned in class. I highly suggest students watch www.nrk.no/tv to see the May 17th celebrations, and find any learner-frendly (age appropriate) Norwegian movies on Netflix, in order to get exposure to hearing the language being spoken outside of class.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
