Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn beginner crochet skills & techniques each week.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, as well as an Associates degree in Digital Photography & a Certificate in Digital Design. My professional career has been in the graphic design & photography fields. My personal life includes many creative hobbies & pursuits, including drawing, painting, jewelry making, cross stitch, crochet & book making.
Learners will be expected to work on their projects inbetween classes. I have kept to small projects for this class so the time needed should not be too much.
Learners will be expected to purchase yarn & a crochet hook before the start of the first class. * your yarn should be what is called "worsted weight" and should be a solid light or bright color (black is especially not recommended as it is hard to learn on); acrylic yarn tends to be best to learn on * crochet hook should be 5mm or US size H/8 * sharp scissors for cutting the yarn * a blunt yarn, tapestry or darning needle
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Crochet involves the use of a blunt yarn needle and sharp scissors. By signing their learners up for this class guardians are giving their approval for their learners to use these items for this class.
