Hello! I am here to welcome you to the wonderful classical world of learning, where we critically learn from the wisdom of the past. I will introduce you to languages such as Greek and Latin, along with the Greco-Roman worlds that originated them. By learning from the past, I mean that we can learn to break out of the trappings of our own culture by reading people who thought differently from us. By critically learning, I mean that we want to learn what went well in the past and what did not. That way, we learn to repeat the good and avoid the bad.

My approach in Classical Education will use these subjects to move beyond learning the subjects themselves to mastering skills that will help in all subjects. We will learn grammar (the skill of memorization), logic (the skill of reasoning), and rhetoric (the skill of persuasion). In short, we are learning how to learn. i will show you how to gain wisdom from the likes of Aristotle and Cicero.

I myself am an unapologetic nerd when it comes to ancient history. I have been tutoring both Greek and Latin for five years, and I have been a Latin teacher for the last two. As much as I have emphasized reading, grammar, and vocabulary, I have always included elements of conversational Greek or Latin. This way, we bring the languages and their histories to life.
