In this beginner course, students will learn vocabulary and sentence stems so they can describe themselves in French. Students will learn through repetition, note-taking, reading, and listening to build foundational French skills.
Class experience
In this multiday class, students will learn beginning French vocabulary, grammar, and phrases through reading, listening, and speaking in order to build a solid foundation in the French language. Learning a foreign language can be both exciting and scary! It is my goal to create a safe and welcoming environment. This class is mostly instructed in French with English used for explanation of new vocabulary and comprehension of the material. Each class will build on the previous week's content....
Weekly, students will be able to successfully use newly acquired vocabulary when speaking or writing in French. By the end of this class, students will be able to write a paragraph introducing themselves and talking about their likes and dislikes.
Miss Raz holds a bachelor’s degree in French (education) from the University of Jamestown. After finishing her degree, Miss Raz moved to central France for a year where she taught English to primary students. Furthermore, Miss Raz was a French professor at a community college. Currently, Miss Raz teaches individual French tutoring classes and beginning French classes through Outschool.
