Join me to learn all about weather, the water cycle, the seasons, the moon, the planets, how the Earth moves and more! We will meet twice a week in this 3 week, 6 session course to explore the exciting world of weather and the sky!
Class experience
Weather and the sky are so exciting to explore! In this class young learners will learn all about the weather and our sky. What is the water cycle? What are the seasons? What is a thermometer? What is in the sky and in outer space? This class will help to answer those questions, and more! In this class I will teach very important science vocabulary that corollate with weather and the sky. Each class will be taught through a PowerPoint presentation with LOTS of pictures to help explain...
Students will be able to identify the different seasons, the water cycle, what is in the sky, what is in outer space and how the weather can affect us. Learners will also be able to identify how the Earth moves.
I was a 1st grade teacher for many years with a passion for teaching science related topics. Weather and the sky are an important part of our world! It is very important to me that young learners know all about these topics!
Handouts provided by the teacher will need to be printed out by each learner before each class session begins. Pencil, markers and/or crayons will also be needed for each class session. Other materials needed for certain lessons include: cotton balls, glue/tape, scissors, a ball and a paper towel or toilet paper tube. *If you are not able to gather the needed materials before each class session, please let me know ahead of time so that we can work something out :).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance may be needed when students are working with scissors. Scissors may cause harm to young learners.
