Join me to learn all about Earth and the natural resources that it provides us! We will explore nature; how amazing Earth is and what we can do to help keep it amazing.

Class experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Students will be able to identify what Earth's surface looks like as well as understand how water, ice and wind can change the shape of rocks and land. Students will also be able to identify Earth's resources, how they are used and how we can help protect those resources.
I was a 1st grade teacher for many years. I currently hold a BA in elementary education with a minor in history. I love teaching all subjects but most of all, I love teaching young learners about the world around them. I have a great love for science, history, nature and the great outdoors. My parents were both educators and instilled in me at a young age the love for learning, teaching and appreciating nature. I love sharing these same principles with others! It is very important to me that young learners know all about Earth, its resources and how to help conserve those resources.
Homework Offered
Assessments Offered
Learners will be assessed throughout each lesson by teacher observation. Learners will be expected to complete all activities during each class meeting to help establish what is being taught.
Grades Offered
Pencil, markers and/or crayons, scissors and glue. Rocks can be brought to our 2nd class but are not required. Handouts provided by the teacher will need to be printed out by each learner before some class session begins (if this is not possible, please let me know ahead of time so that we can make other arrangements :)).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some photos of pollution will be shared in class. These images will be age appropriate but some learners may be sensitive to these.
