Do you have a student interested in learning to crochet? In this class, we will start from the basics and learn how to create the chain stitch. This is the foundation of any future crochet projects. No prior knowledge of crochet required! We will talk about how to hold our yarn and hook, including a few different methods. Then we will learn the chain stitch, the most important stitch to know. I will demonstrate the steps several times, and then pause to let students try it, while giving...
Yarn (any size/type is okay, but fuzzy yarns can be hard for beginners to work with) - any amount Crochet hook - Hook should be the size to go with the yarn (on the yarn package it will tell you what size crochet hook you need) Scissors
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger students may need help when learning to hold the hook and yarn, as it's a difficult concept to teach over Zoom
